Coping with hair loss

Algra stood in front of the conference table with a wig form and a stack of scarves that he deftly twisted and wrapped around the dummy form. He showed them how to fold the fabric and layer it across the forehead to create interest and eye appeal to disguise hair loss.

"Create volume using foam or terry cloth" underneath the scarf, he says.

Use brooches, pins, even earrings to decorate the turbans, he advised.

A bald head means you might get cold at night, especially in the winter. Use a stocking cap made out of knit jersey, fleece or swim suit fabric.

He showed the women how to sew a sleeping cap of their own creating a long tail that he wrapped around the head tucking in the end.
